Bins have bin emptied.
@biggs682 is correct. It's chilly! Mainly the breeze as it's not too bad when it stops. 👍

The local red clowns are pretty worried they know the writings on the wall. They been round more now than ever they have. I've just intercepted them trying to off load yet another leaflet. The ward head one was nice as pie , i've history with him and know all about him he's a nasty bit of work. Last time I contacted him with an issue I got called a zealot, he went on about how good things are , how hard they work 12 hours days all for 30p an hour. He's forgot the allowance is not a wage, He tried to educate me on his link to the ward. Which I can equally match so no point trying. Tried getting out of me what I'd do to improve things well nice try but I'm not falling for that. I've been involved in this stuff for years. Apparently nothing to stop me joining a party and standing myself well who had thought that . If I did i'd not be joining any club i've seen what it's like on the inside as chair of the ward.

For some reason despite making it clear the relatively minor damage to the car was at the rear, the repair garage wanted photos all round. Could I send them by WhatsApp. Er..no
Eventually they agreed to them being emailed. Is email old hat now?
Evening Sainsbury's and Co-op shop with £4.20 and £2.85 store card discounts. Had to weigh the bananas twice in the former as I managed to stick the label back on itself across the barcode.

What a cold, damp & miserable day. Went out for an hour's walk late afternoon and had to put a warm jacket on.
At least the pensioner transport x 2 and shopping were carried out without any problems and I've also stuck a bit of diesel into the car's tank in advance of tomorrow's day out and another potential trip on Sunday.
Having a very quiet evening Windows shopping - basically just filling then emptying online shopping baskets with the few things on my treat list.
Hot chocolate next.

It's been a grey and chilly day here chez Casa Reynard, although we escaped the rain until tea time.

Slept well - got seven hours. Still not enough, but slowly, it's getting better. Downstairs, feed the cat, take a :cuppa: back upstairs and do some writing. Good job I checked the tracking on the cat tree - wasn't expecting it till Friday, but it turned up less than 10 mins after my checking. Yikes.

Anyways, did the chores and then built the tree. OK, it's not on the same level quality-wise as the Tigga Towers ones (those can be pushing 4 figures for the more elaborate set-ups), but for 20 quid delivered, I am not complaining. It's nice enough and compact enough to fit in the space I have for it. But rather than use the plastic wall tether, I just plonked a book press on the base plate to hold it steady.

And Madam Boo *LOVES* it! OMG, bless her, she was beside herself. She's spent a fair bit of time in the top bed.

Had a lovely luncheon of a cheese & salad sub, a banana yoghurt and a pot of tea.

I had intended on fettling the strimmer, but I couldn't find the right screwdriver. I have SO many screwdrivers, but can I find one that fits? No. That said, the screws are really tight, so they're currently marinating in GT85.

In the end, I put together a load of stuff for the tip and did a tip run instead. I browsed the bicycles in the sales area, but there was nothing of interest, and prices are still eyewatering - well, for adult bikes at least. They had a nice art deco mantle clock, but on closer inspection, it was too far gone to take on as a project.

A fabby supper of Ma Po tofu, rice, broccoli and edmame beans.

MOTD has been watched.
