Past one of the local polling stations earlier it looked like they had a rush on , all two of them. The other one the only thing going off was eating among the staff.

Best thing about voting time is the pictures of dogs at polling stations. Think this one just about sums up what people think of the subject of politics at the moment.

That was a very enjoyable few hours out. Nothing special, but a really nice 40 miles watching the countryside pass by on mostly traffic free back lanes, a bit cloudy and chilly with just light winds. Wouldn't mind doing that route again.

Stopped at John Lewis on the way home and picked up a basic 5 piece saucepan & frying pan set to replace the aged items I've been using, with a £5 voucher helping with the cost.

Since I got home an ice cream and a coffee have been had with gammon steak and baby potatoes about to be cooked for tea. This evening I will be trying the first pint (and possibly more) from my first attempt at home brewing using the Pinter.

Green recycling bin has been emptied and returned to it's normal resting place.

No local elections here this year.
Good news day. One road with a row of potholes in one direction is being resurfaced tomorrow and then the A59 is being shut over the weekend to allow resurfacing of a section that resembles a rough bit of the moon. Its just where coming off a roundabout heading downhill slightly most cyclists easily reach 25mph; 2mph would be risky currently.
