I've made it to bright lights of Stornoway. Only 21 miles from where I was staying, but another hellish headwind with hail showers thrown into the mix.:cold:

I did some laundry in one of those things you find in supermarket carparks and then checked in. Another lady who was also using them said her car was showing 4C and I'd believe it. Clearly summer hasn't reached this far north yet.

Out now waiting on scampi and chips. I'm facing a log fire and have an electric storage heater behind me, so at least I'm warm!

I shall explore on foot after dinner.

Completely forgot about the school run being imminent when I went out. Flaming BMW X5 4x4 driving mum not moving out of the way on a single track road to let oncoming traffic past. Put a pavement where the soft verge was and I bet she'd have parked on it in an instant

Leaflet delivered from the local council detailing the new bins & recycling dates which start in June - Thursdays will be my new bin day instead of Mondays. If they ever deliver the new bins that is!

Wow, are those common in the UK now?

waited most of the day for the electrician to arrive. 90 minutes later he wasn't able to figure out where the stray voltage is coming from or how to eliminate it. he was able to confirm w/ a neighbor that it's our whole 6 unit building & not just ours. although he tried everything he could& a colleague could think of to troubleshoot the issue, within our unit

I truly believe they are gonna have to dig up that trench outside to figure out what happened
