Sounds too much of an adventure. My skirmishes with GWR have discouraged me from thinking of travelling with my bike. Other than pedalling it somewhere.
Well done.

It's all been very painless and worked very well. The place for the bike was booked in advance. The drivers have been very helpful.

10/10 for Scottish Citylink. I wish I could book my bike on to buses at home.

It's been a warm and mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard, with rain showers coming in from tea time.

Slept well enough and got seven hours. Downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing.

Chores cleared at a better hour. Post came early with more paperwork and the replacement element for my oven. As it wasn't raining, I then did an hour's weeding in the garden.

Lovely luncheon of the last of the buns with some coronation turkey, greek yoghurt with a pear and some blueberries and a pot of tea.

Go outbid on a Citizen EcoDrive watch I was interested in on the 'bay. Hey ho, that's how it goes. I will stick to a budget than get sucked into a bun fight. There's always another day and another auction.

That done, I went back to clearing stuff. I wasn't in the mood to do clothes, so I made a start on the books. I ended up with half a car load of books that I took to the book exchange in the village. The clothes bank had been emptied, so the three bin liners of stuff that were in the boot also got shifted.

Plans for a cooked supper went out of the window when the lightbulb in the sitting room ceiling light went *pop*

I only had 60w spares, which don't provide enough light in what is a fairly dark room, so a trip to B&M was called for. The 100W bulbs from Tesco have not been lasting well, so figured I'd try ones from elsewhere. Wilkinsons used to have the best bulbs, way better than Tesco. So zipped into town. Had a bit of a snaccident with some cheese crackers.

Supper was a roll filled with onion bhajis, plus a doughnut and a pot of tea.

Followed the footy this evening (wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!), and am now catching up on the sumo.

How'd they get that through your letterbox?

They didn't. The postie left it in my safe place for parcels.
