Apparently, EGR valves need to be a bit cleaner & free flowing than the one on my car.. Who knew 🤭 🤷‍♂️

Another reason to avoid newer cars or ones fitted with all these emissions parafanalia fitted

16 pkate Nissan dci diesel.
Apparently, they're prone to this gunging up at about 60,000 miles.
For someone who hates burgering around with car engines it's quite an easy job!
7 bolts, 1 hose clip & one electrical connector to unplug.
Took just under an hour.. That'd be £100 in a garage, I reckon.

Back in Stranraer now after an extremely tedious bus journey and an argument with a bus driver in Inverness who didn't want my bike without a bike bag. He also rearranged everyone else's luggage and moved other passengers from seats he said were reserved, but nobody ever sat in. Someone who failed his entrance exam for the police!

The guy from Glasgow onwards couldn't have been more helpful.

I'm waiting on the gammon steak I've ordered for dinner.

I don't know if the weather has just improved, or if it's because I've become used to Hebridean weather, but walking around Stranraer feels like being in the tropics.

Evening cuppa with mother was easier tonight

Upon returning home both lawns were cut and gently raked which meant it was worth putting the brown garden waste bin out alongside the brown recycling one

Quite possibly.. Spatula, toothbrush & some Wynns EGR cleaner spray and a bit of patience sorted it for about £9
