Good morning from a cloud covered corner of Suffolk. Coffee has been had after an early morning awakening by what turned out to be a squadron of a couple of dozen starlings working their way across the back garden looking for food.

The overnight bag has been placed by the front door ready for today's away day to see Honeyglaze at The Boileroom in Guildford this evening. It's the start of a busy few days for me - Guildford tonight, Snetterton on Sunday for the BTCC, off to Manchester on Wednesday (Big Thief), Norwich the Monday after that (The Bug Club), a whole week's rest and then back to Manchester (Aldous Harding) on the 8th June.

As I'm on a slightly later than usual train from here there's a bit of time to kill this morning, so I may give my boots a bit of a polish..

On our lunchtime stroll we noticed quite a few garden waste ins hadn't been emptied as they didn't have the latest renewal sticker on

Probably trying it on.. I think the drivers have the info on a PDA in the cab. Year before last i didn't get a sticker but still had the garden bin emptied.
They also have the info on who needs their bins returned to the house if the occupant is infirm or unable to do it.
Everyone else can play 'Guess Where the Bin is Today'

16 pkate Nissan dci diesel.
Apparently, they're prone to this gunging up at about 60,000 miles.
For someone who hates burgering around with car engines it's quite an easy job!
7 bolts, 1 hose clip & one electrical connector to unplug.
Took just under an hour.. That'd be £100 in a garage, I reckon.

There's the sucking of teeth, the " if I had a pound for every one of these I've had to fix", "that's a whole reboot at least £250 you're going to need. I ring you next week"

:hello: From Guildford where lunch is about to be had.Annoying delay on the train fromWaterloo and it got here 14 minutes late - delay repay starts at 15.

Think I made it from Liverpool Street to Waterloo on record time - an average of 4.1mph on foot for the 2.4 miles according to my Garmin recording. Just trying to get away from the crowds.

condo management cleaned the gutters. fine, but who gets to clean my patio, of all the junk blown out of the gutters?

& of course the followup, will they come back & actually clean the gutters

drain hole clogged.jpg

they actually paid extra for water jet clearing this year. our condo management company really stinks. they never supervise any work that is done & our board members are apathetic & intimidated
