I'm getting ready to go and spend the week-end with my 100 year old Dad in Hampshire.

I see someone with an enormous campervan with a Smart car on a trailer behind it. Whatever happened to travelling light!

It's a lovely sunny morning with only the lightest of movement from the trees. I think we may have bypassed spring and jumped straight into summer. (There are different ways of defining the seasons. I tend towards ''the season is what the weather does'' approach.)

The first few times I sailed on this ship many years ago, it had a quiet lounge with comfortable seats where one good go and peruse one's copy of Hound of the Baskerville in peace.

Now, it seems to have been turned into a children's playroom! Can't they lock the brats in a cupboard instead?

Good morning from a 2nd floor hotel room in sunny and warm Guildford. Today's view is of the Porsche centre opposite.

Coffee and a shower have been had and, once I've put my boots on, I'm off into town for more coffee and breakfast before the train home which leaves in about 90 minutes.

Are they bike friendly?

They definitely are.

Calmac seems to get a lot of bad press, but everything was on time for me . They even let me and a few other cyclists on an earlier sailing than we'd booked as we got to the port earlier than expected.

It seems to me that it is drives who are experiencing problems due to capacity issues.

Nice little stroll into town along the path alongside the River Wey followed by a small breakfast and a couple of coffees. Also managed to secure the tickets to the two main gigs I wanted (2nd choice venue for one of them) and will sort out the hotels when I get home.

Now waiting for the train to Waterloo.

Big breakdown at work earlier in the week so were playing catch up , yesterday started at 2.30 pm and finished at 1.55 am .
Too tired to do anything around the house today 😴

Funny old 2nd part of the day..
Take a trailer load of pallets to another depot & pick a trunk up (neither elephant nor tree trunk) but a trailer load of stuff to return to the depot. No trunk to collect so run back empty.

Can you take a truck for service, please? Yep. Change trucks and head off. If there's no truck to bring back, drink free coffee until we pick you up (hoping for the 'no truck to bring back' option 😂
