Lengthy lunch hour and 35 as I pressure washed the side path, front path, steps to the front door and the two driveway paved strips. Limited success on some of the driveway slabs.

Postie delivered a new pair of spd pedals. For the first time gone for ones with a flat on one side. The ebikes tumbles have damaged one of the pedals; the SPD part is fine but the outer part for a flat shoe is loose. These with a flat on one side have a huge area of plastic to wear down before any fixing gets damaged. Also they came with multi release cleats not single release; useful as I use one of each on a pair of shoes.

Evening 2.5 mile Aldi trek for possibly the last bag for a while of salad leaves and a bag of oranges. The latter seem to selling out quicker than salad leaves, none in Sainsbury's yesterday and the Tesco app said sold out.

It's been a far more comfortable day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit still quite warm.

Did not sleep well. It was just too stuffy. So downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and went upstairs to do a bit of writing. Not as long a session as usual, as I met up with a friend and her dogs for a lovely walk around the community orchard and the local nature reserve. Stopped off on the way home to dump another load of books at the book exchange. Although I picked out two new ones for myself!

Did the chores when I got home, and put the laundry out to finish drying.

Lovely luncheon of toast with cheese and salami, an orange and a pot of tea.

Spent the afternoon tidying up in the utility room. Three moth-eaten rugs were bagged up and put into the garage to wait for the next tip run, and a lot of random sewing stuff was rounded up and consolidated into far less packaging. I also found a large stash of note pads, which will be just the thing for writing shopping lists. Another thing I found a big stash of was dressmaking pins. I have several kilos of the damn things...

I also found my small artists easel and my weaving loom.

At tea time, I put on some presentable clothes and tootled off to Tesco. Nothing to be had in the chilled, but then again, I didn't need anything. Big downer was nothing in the bakery - they were desperately short-staffed today, and the bread was simply boxed up for charity. A shame, but that's how it goes. Good buys to be had in the fruit & veg though - picked out a stir fry mix, potatoes, broccoli, rocket, green beans and radishes.

Have had a quiet evening. Supper was just tea and sandwiches. Going to have some fruit & yoghurt in a bit.

Also mended a popped seam in my jim jams.

Mrs. GA was unwell in a major sort of way, so I drove out from work, took her to hospital, and they referred her to a specialist and got her feeling much better. We came in at a slow time, so she was getting more attention than a Disney Princess. When we left the emergency ward was full.

Sending healing vibes from me, and special purrs from Madam Boo to Mrs GA xxx :hugs:

Time to hobble off upstairs to bed via a nice hot bath.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:
