Good morning from an occasionally sunny and breezy Suffolk. Coffees x 2 have been had ahead of a hopefully quiet day.

I don't know if the children's football match on the local playing field has been reduced to a training session, but there's been a remarkable lack of the parental shouting & swearing normally heard on a Sunday morning with the windows open.

Morning!
How to fund a new bike?
I think I managed to hide the sold sign which was at the front of our house successfully, although my wife thought it a bit strange that our guests the other evening were rather reluctant to leave! I told her not to worry and that they both used to work for Kirby vacuum cleaners and found it difficult to adapt to normal life!

We had a Kirby.
Don't remember what finally went wrong with it but we now have a J Edgar.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Yesterday, and this morning's, 400km audax done in warmer weather than forecast with a head/crosswind both ways - https://www.strava.com/activities/18723253349 As usual the Peak Audax team organised the event really well.

Given I've not ridden much recently due to family stuff, the wind, and riding mostly solo I'm happy with being only 90 minutes slower than last time out.

SWMBO took advantage of my lack of sleep and I was taken ladies clothes shopping with lunch out.

Daughter is back from the Arsenal parade in London. Had a great time with huge crowds on Holloway Road etc.
Tricky to see the bus & pkayers, apparently, because of all the red smoke from the flares 😂

Three tube stations closed due to overcrowding, sensibly, but she did manage to get on one somewhere to get back to her car in Enfield..

Lovely day looking after grandson & Teddy the bonkers Cockerpoo.
Bike ride, ice cream, dog walk & some games of chess.
Spaghetti Hoops on toast for dinner with banana cake & custard for pud 👌
