Another evening of very loud music has been enjoyed, but I still prefer my days away rather than just an evening out. A very late hot chocolate was enjoyed once I got home just before midnight and it's stayed (mostly) dry so far.

Morning.
Sunny here at the moment with blue sky. It looks like we had more rain in the night as our cars are wet and there are puddles lying around. I took the opportunity to wash both of our cars whilst it was raining.
Yesterday I cycled down to where I was born and lived for 23 years. I was disgusted by how overgrown and neglected the area has become. My dad and next door neighbour used to keep the area tidy and cut the grass. Our neighbour used to tether a goat and plough and plant crops on one area. The brooks which join in the area are so overgrown now that it is hard to see them and have trees growing in them. The area flooded twice whilst I lived there and the brooks would become raging torrents during a rainstorm. Yesterday both were just reduced to a trickle.

At some point last night during a bed-bladder negotiation, I could hear rain falling in the street below. It felt like it had been a long time since I'd heard that. It's been very dry.

Oh, Ernie popped by and dropped £50 pounds off. Not a life changing event but better than nothing. I'm wondering whether it would pay for a tankful of petrol. It would have when I last filled up but that was before we'd all learnt of the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz.

Good morning from a currently dry overhead but soggy underfoot Suffolk. Still waiting for the coffee to kick in after the late night and a fairly decent night's sleep.

Today will be a domestics day - bedding change, vacuuming, kitchen floor, etc - and the filters in both water jugs need their bi-monthly change.

That's what I put in the car on the way out yesterday - it go me 27.5 litres of diesel which would just about be enough for a round trip to Silverstone or two round trips to Norwich or Cambridge. I can get to Manchester by train for less than that booking in advance!
