Sad news for son no. 1 whose new young cat was hit by a car on Tuesday and died. Someone kindly stopped and took it to the vet, who were excellent with him. He'd only had the cat since last autumn and it was settling in nicely.

sorry for your Son's loss, wishing him strength right now & nothing but the best memories. thank goodness for good samaritans
 
what kind of place is that? why is is so fun?

It was where they found a Saxon ship burial just before the start of WW2. There is a film/ drama called "The Dig" about it. It was a rich burial with gold and silver objects. When they started digging they uncovered iron rivets which when they followed them gave the shape of the long ship, it was over 90 feet in length.

ok but why is it fun to go to now? boardwalk? gift shops? restaurants? beach?
 
We just thought we would go there. We haven't been to that part of the country.
