Good morning from Suffolk where the sun is shining at long last. Coffee has been had and a bowl of porridge is about to be nuked for breakfast.

As there's nothing to do today, in about an hour's time I'm going to apply a bi of sun cream and head off to Beccles by bike for lunch/drinks and then get the train home. Haven't done this destination this year and I'm trying out a newly planned route to the west avoiding all the roadworks associated with the Sizewell C construction on an easterly route I use.

What did they know about making electrical fittings in 1975 that they don't know now..

Quality in materials and where things were made by engineers rather than being 'pared down' by accountants.

Dull morning
Currently on the luxury 36 electric bus to Leeds to view Ribbles showroom. 2 + 1 seating upstairs with sun lights. Good job they are every 10 minutres as getting to it was slow. Roadworks at at the top of the Ripon Road hill severely delayed the local.bus into town, also electric and the one I caught must have a Mercedes demonstrator as the seats were not the normal colour or style.

So it seems we have three days of sunshine on it's way.sadly on Saturday when i would like a bit of sun,it's going to be cloudy.I am going cycling to Otley with my son as chaperone,my first ride in three years,wish me luck,i shall be wearing my new gilet,arm sleeves and pirate bandana.Look out Saturday.

The every 10 mins is so it an practical option given the train is faster but Leeds train station to the south of the city centre so by bus can be quicker to the centre or places on its north side.
Just copied @Jenkins and got a free Greggs coffee via Octopus. Theres one at the bus station with stacks of seats outside.

True, and there is the flip side that most of the buying public will instinctively go for whatever is cheapest, even if something a bit more expensive might be cheaper in the long run.

Bike fit done in Ribble. Need a shorter stem than the one they normally supply.
Hadn't intended to purchase anything in Leeds but passed an Argos. Current kitchen scales are a bit erratic at times not helped by a brief encounter with a turned on hob. Had decided on a different one that is in the current sale but it's an order for next day collection at the local store. This one had it in stock.
WiFi wasn't working on the 36 back so transpired I should gave stayed on it to the bus station as the local bus was very late and the quick walk between stops turned out to be unnecessary. Was a hybrid an opposed to pure electric and not sure when if at all the electric motor kicked in. Turned out the WiFi wasn't working on that either so maybe some network error.

Decided to make afternoon use of the day rover ticket by having a walk in Knaresborough from Mother Shiptons along Warerside and Abbey Road (NCN636) then via a shop in to Lidl to the bus station
Surprisingly it was only 3.3 miles. On the return missed the connections at Harrogate bus station. Should have got off and walked between stops this time but it did allow time to acquire a giftcard free coffe & walnut cake from M&S. A quarter of which has just been scoffed.

Hybrid being collected Thursday morning. Must resist pressing buy on an electric road bike until it has been, just in case for some reason it isn't.
Occurred to me during the day it has the saddle on it which came with the Giant ebike. I swopped them as the Ridgeback saddle was far more comfy without cycling shorts or padded undies on. Meawhile in the bike shed a Lidl AirComfort saddle which I could never get on with. That now is on the hybrid.
