I've just had a warm shower, well the hotter side of warm. I found that I dried quickly and wasn't sweating. It was the action of putting on my clothes that made me sweat.

It's still around 30C indoors, maybe 29C in the bedroom, humid and hardly a whisper of wind. While I now appear to be over the tumour pain, the combined assault of chemo- and radiotherapy have left me far less able to cope with such hot temperatures. I've got a hospital appointment at Guy's later this morning but, instead of taking the bus there, I'm going to do it with the aid of the car's air-con. Not a green solution, admittedly, but the only really bearable solution for me at this stage.

And after that I might make a dash to the cooler seaside air for the afternoon.

Good morning from a hot, humid and sunny Suffolk, doesn't look to be a breath of wind out there at the moment.

So much for the planned early start - I've had a very good night's sleep of over 8 hours (even excluding the early morning pee break) despite the conditions and coffee has only just been had. Food shopping needs to be done for the rest of the week so the ebike may come into play to keep the effort down rather than for its carrying capacity.

Water jugs have been filled and placed in the fridge for plenty of cold drinks for the rest fo the day.
