No meatings b4 dinner!
Another visit to my dads today. Now on the train home. I'm on my bike so will be cycling from Waterloo. Hopefully not too hot and sweaty

Took a rural ride on Friday, a route I've done many times over the last sixty or so years, but not in about ten years.
With the amount of motor traffic; cars, SUVs, vans, trucks & HGVs, on said route, it's really brought home how much the increase in dormitory villages & rural industrial sites over the last twenty or so years has marred what used to be a very pleasant jaunt here and in other places.
However, at the beginning of the ride as I was egressing the city, I was in the cycle lane of the main road and was suddenly presented with the sight of two nifty young ladies heading towards me on roller skates - !

It's been a grey, blustery and quite warm day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough. Downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it back upstairs to do some writing. A challenging session due to the need to connect two separate scenes in the chapter in a logical manner without sacrificing the drama.

Down at a decent hour. Cleared the chores, then went out to do a spot of scything. A suitable amount of nettles were sent to hades.

A lovely luncheon of a chicken, pesto & mozzarella toastie, a packet of crisps, three chocolate biskits and a pot of tea.

F1 watched. Madam Boo was less bothered and slept through the whole thing. After, bid on some stock car programmes on the 'bay. Only secured two of the six, but the two that I did get were the ones I really wanted. One covered the meeting where Paul won his first superstox final, and is a nice addition to the collection of photos and ephemera I have from that meeting, and the other is where Paul did a clean sweep and won both his heats and the final.

A quiet evening watching various bits on TV was had. Now watching Brazil v Norway and thinking about what to have for a late supper.
