Yes it was a bit that way but has revived a bit to become Lorne Greene!

Morning.
It is a brighter grey here this morning.
I won a battle on the bay yesterday over an Airfix kit, I fancied doing another model.

The talk about school meals yesterday got me a bit angry. Baked chips and fish fingers, chick peas and lentils! Why can't they get the kids running around more. We were hardly ever sat still for a few minutes and we consumed sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks. It must have been all of those E numbers!

We have been watching the crime drama Vigil ! I have half been expecting Thunderbird 2 to turn up.
We found it a bit hard to follow with the actors mumbling a bit and the foreign accents, a good way of making a mystery! Make it hard for viewers to follow the plot!

Morning garage session completed
First cuppa went down well.
Mainly cloudy with a few small bits of blue sky.
But dry underfoot.
No idea what today's activities will be other than a walk and a bit of catching up on TV .

Good morning from an overcast and dry Suffolk. Coffee has been had although the last mouthful was a bit more solid due to overestimating the dunking time of the Oatie biscuit when first made.

I don't need to leave to get the outbound train for another couple of hours, so a load of washing has been chucked into the machine and I'll iron the shirts as part of the domestics later in the week.

Today's destination is Leeds to see Kurt Vile at Project House this evening.

Here is the model of the Mary Rose I'm working on, it is about 4 inches long. All of the transfers are a bit of a nightmare.

Yowser: that's small. I guess that's why I make larger scale 20th century models: less fiddly bits. I look forward to seeing it finished...

Some friendly gentlemen with chainsaws came last week from the local government and did a fine job of clearing the dead wood from the river bank: I just realised they've removed a rather ugly dead tree that had been standing opposite to my living room window, which has made the view much nicer.

The transfers on the Mary Rose are fiddly to put on.

It would be good to get another kit and make half of it just like the wreck in the museum. The othe half could be made a bit like they have in the museum with the finds they found in situ.

It’s a pleasantly autumnal blustery day here, sunshine and showers forecast. Apparently there’s 38,000 pinkfoot gathered at Findhorn Bay currently, some will be heading our way soon.

I won a 1/72 scale Golden Hind on the bay so it sould be not so fiddly.
The transfers on the Mary Rose are fiddly to put on.

Mary Rose was the hero of the Battle of the Solent, IIRC.

Travel problems due to trespassers on the track at Ipswich this morning. I was just going to get an early bus instead when the very late running local train went past heading to Felixstowe, so changed direction and caught that as it headed back to Ipswich instead. Good job as my scheduled train has no chance of making the time up to get to Ipswich on time for the connection here

bread maker coincided in finishing together
Then eventually after sugar soaping and masking tape applied started on the front lounge wall. The old paint ran down to paintbrush only level so opened the new tin, um.. maybe a good stir, um.. still doesn't look right.. lets pour a bit into the roller tray.

Definitely not the same. Looks at the paint label - Beige White not Creamy White.

Oh well thats the paint for the rear spare bedroom when it gets done and another journey needed to Wickes in north Leeds.
