Another delay repay claim submitted thanks to delays on the Cambridge - London line. Even if I'd gone the other way I'd have missed the connection at Cambridge as the delays were in both directions.

The Hertfordshire cloud seems to have followed me home as morning sunshine on the solar panels topped up the house battery and then seemed to stopped producing as soon as I got to London for the last leg.

With yet another quick turn round, the contents of the overnight bag were refreshed as soon as I got home and the bag put by the front door ready for Monday's away day. Since then I've done very little other than to submit the claim to Thameslink and then slump in front of the TV as it's the Petit Le Mans 10 hour IMSA race from Road Atlanta. The most movement I've done is to regularly reach for the sound off button on the remote control as the YouTube ads can't be skipped or blocked.

I have been on a bit of a buying spree recently. We popped into Lidl on the way back from the museum. My wife let me go to the middle isle which is fatal! I didn't know there was so much I needed. 2 pairs of cheap jeans, a cheap cycle helmet, it has a mesh in front to stop insects dancing on your head. A multi meter. Yesterday I went back for an oil pump. I have also been on FBMP and bought a Shimano Ultegra front and rear mech, 10 speed sti levers and an FSA carbon cranks. I then went back for a pair of Ultegra wheels. I think I should be pretty well sorted for a while.

Just looked at the ‘Earliest picture’ thread too. I don’t have any of me in my childhood at all, not until leaving secondary school aged 16. I don’t know what happened to any of the photo’s that my late parents had, nothing was mentioned/offered when my brother and sister cleared the house. I don’t know if they just binned them.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's now sunshine and clear skies after a bit of a cloudy start. Coffee has been had and all I've done so far today is to listen to the lack of the Bahrain Grand Prix presented by Malaysia on the radio.

Yet another free hour of electricity this afternoon so the sunshine is topping up the house battery ready to be dumped to the grid and then filled again on the free stuff. While that's going on I'll be out food shopping for today and food & travel snack shopping for tomorrow's away day.
