curious what this means

I'm guessing that @tom73 is with an energy company called Octopus Energy as I am. Until November if you use less electricity during a nominated period they give you an hour's free electricity on the following Sunday. I've qualified this week so will have my free hour between 13:00 and 14:00 which will be used to charge the house battery having discharged it to the grid over the previous couple of hours which will make me a few additional pennies on the export tariff.

Did someone bring the end of BST forward by a couple of days as it got dark very early round here. As the rain eased off the wind picked up and it's been rattling round the house all evening.

A quiet evening has been had catching up with the stuff I didn't have time to do while I was away yesterday & today. The delay repay claim has been submitted and the evening's hot chocolate has been had. As the weather forecast for Sunday is breezy and dry, I've purchased a ticket for the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch.

A not very nice day weatherwise here chez Casa Reynard. Chilly, biblical rain and now a howling northwesterly.

Slept well enough, but my get-up-and-go has gotten up and buggered off. Downstairs, fed the cat, made myself a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing. Also caught up on some reading. Stayed snuggled up with Boo, a fluffy fleece throw and a hot water bottle.

Did the chores at a better hour.

Had a lovely luncheon of fresh bread, butter and a small pot of tea. That sourdough bread is so gooooood :hungry: I can highly recommend atta (chapatti) flour for breadmaking.

A quiet afternoon was had, mainly reading and puttering about. Renewed my TV licence.

Had a fabby supper of pan-fried plaice, triple-cooked beef dripping chips, and steamed savoy cabbage.

An equally quiet evening by the fire is being had.
