Morning.
We have caught Georgies little friend, it was a bank vote. I will release it later when Georgie is not around. I don't want one running up the inside of my trouser leg again.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's just started getting a bit cloudy after a sunny and chilly start to the day. Coffee has been had and a load of washing is under way to take advantage of the sunshine charging the house battery.

All that needs to be done today is a bit of shopping for food supplies for tomorrow's day out and something for this evening's meal. I'll make that part of an extended bike ride while it's still dry and then the afternoon will probably be spent curled up on the sofa with the radio and some reading material as it's forecast to be more than a bit 🌧️🌧️

I'm guessing that @tom73 is with an energy company called Octopus Energy as I am. Until November if you use less electricity during a nominated period they give you an hour's free electricity on the following Sunday. I've qualified this week so will have my free hour between 13:00 and 14:00 which will be used to charge the house battery having discharged it to the grid over the previous couple of hours which will make me a few additional pennies on the export tariff.

I am indeed with Octopus and I’ve a bit of back log to get in before it all ends. They only let you have 2 hours at a time. We did have 8 hours worth at one point.

No. Hadleigh was a series about a chap with a sword stick. Similar plots to The Avengers

Definitely lull before the storm.
Not that yesterday didn't pass with North Yorkshire being totally missed
Scarborough turned into Scarvenice with, almost, canals where roads should be.

Finally worked out this morning what the "refurbishment" was in Lidl, new freezers. Why do stores have to be so unclear in their announcements; maybe their PR staff worked for Avanti etc.

They were quick to give me a £5 off £30 voucher having refused to use last weeks £5 off £40. Its use did include a centre isle purchase of a pretty large kneeling pad. My existing one is small and typically I find I have moved one knee at least off it.

Before that Sainsbury's for another largely Nectar price / extra points shop. That included lower price iced buns to look forward to as the storm rages this pm and tomorrow.

Also Morrisons nipped in for cans of soup, still reduced despite the PMs comments yesterday.
