Cold day for WFH and wet outside. Eventually resorted to putting the heating on
RM delivered a tube of plastic polish. Not cheap but has good reviews. Couple of interior stratches on the car hoping it will rectify.

The evening's hot chocolate has just been had. Very little else has been done other than to check the walking routes for train station to hotel & hotel to venue for Wednesday's away day.

It's tempting to have an early night as I seem to be having trouble keeping my eyes open despite a non-busy day.

It's been a mild, grey and rather soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but very short changed, and just feel a bit flat. Downstairs, fed the cat, made myself a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing. Had a quiet session, just editing stuff, as I wasn't really in the mood.

Chores done at a better hour. Now need to be mindful that it's dark at 5pm. Went on a hunt for curtain pole brackets and curtain rings, but no luck whatsoever. I know I have some, I just don't know where.

A lovely luncheon of avocado on sourdough toast and a small pot of tea.

Then topped up all the wood bins in the house and put the laundry away. After, went into town on a hunt for brackets and rings. Annoyingly, the shop that would have all these bits has changed their opening hours, and they now close an hour and a half earlier than they used to. There's not many other places in town that hold DIY and home furnishing supplies, and those turned up a blank.

Also discovered that the art shop on the marketplace has shut for good. Bugger. I've been buying stuff there for years.

So the only constructive thing I managed to do in town was to drop off a bag of empty pill blister packs into the recycling bin in Boots. Although I did have some luck on the way home and scored some free quinces.

A tasty supper of vegetable soup, then pasta with honey & mustard pork.

Have had a quiet evening.

Not hot waxed?
Despite what everyone says on that other thread, it's just too much faff with multiple bikes and I'm not one of those who obsess over hyper clean drivetrains. Anyhow, what's better on a dull & wet day than to spend a few hours in the bike shed with the radio/music/podcasts and to take your time over a simple cleaning task.

Old t-shirt followed by a baby wipe to remove the old lube and then a small drop of Finish Line ceramic wet lube on each roller.
