Short breast for a glass or orange squash.

Bedding has been changed, yesterday's now dry washing folded and put away and most of the vacuuming done. Next up is the kitchen floor which means squeezing a couple of chairs and other smaller bits into the bike shed to make it easier to sweep and then steam mop.

Rain showers still passing through so I doubt I'll be doing much other than a walk later on.

Please remind me what scouting is supposed to do?
When I was a Group Scout Leader a Cub Leader's son got all the available badges and nobody then thought anything of it.
I later moved to being a Venturer (looks like now called Explorer) Leader and the badge process for Queen's Scout Award was rigorously scrutinised at District level.
For me, it was about getting the kids outdoors, trying new things. Generally out of doors, and of a practical nature. All the time with an element of fun whilst learning.
Joining a scout group with the stated intention of getting every badge that's available to them isn't what I'd consider scouting. With the range of "activities" covered by badges these days being more indoors than outdoors, the scout association hasn't done themselves any favours over the years. There's fewer badges now and the majority can all be done indoors.
I know scouts that have camping badges, that have never spent a night in a tent. They've turned up to tents pitched by leaders/older scouts and then spent the weekend(s) indoors.
I've also had to get scouts inside, somewhere safe, when their tents have collapsed during the night. Badly pitched in the first place. Scouts that have got lost whilst doing the DofE Gold training have had to be accommodated on site when they've turned up lost.

Site Warden for over ten years at the locally owned campsite.
