I don't have any guilty musical pleasures because I don't feel guilty about liking any types of music. I'm not into the whole musical snobbery thing and find good music where I find it. I'll happily listen to The Smiths, ACDC, Magazine, REM or Stiff Little Fingers in the same sitting as Barbra Dickson, The Carpenters or Jim Reeves. If you flicked through the pile of records and CDs littering my music room you'd see for yourself.
If it says something, moves you in some way or conveys the emotions of the artist is good. It's all good.

I'll quite proudly listen to anything from Abba to Zappa and anything in between... but the two guilty pleasures that spring to mind are Sugababes and Girls Aloud.

Loving that there are some weird musical resurrections recently.

I guess theres a difference between a guilty pleasure and an alternative like, a bit off piste...
Guilty pleasure..
Marc Bolan. HATED his / their stuff as a teen, too 'teeny bopper'...but as I aged, found more of their music and actually REALLY like it.
Off piste ?
Ethnic music, often with fusion of modern style.
Father Seraphim, wonderful religious chant / music even through im not religious.
Katya Chili, often a Ukrainian style traditional based music with her very individual style.
Malcolm McLaren, particually his rap fused with opera.
Gennady Tkaichenko, a strange but spellbinding style of extraordinarily powerful voice.
Some odd stuff in there i think
