I took my 3 children (aged 11, 13, 16) cycling the Danube cycle path from Passau to Vienna in 2008.
They enjoyed it but didn't mention cycling holidays since.
This year I asked them for holiday suggestions and they wanted to do it again, so off we go in July.
Either I'm turning them into cyclists or it takes 3 years for the memory to wear off.

My sons showed some interest in cycle touring but lost interest when I suggested that they got their bikes out and got some miles in prior to touring.
