My big brother.

Has just completed a 9 mile ride, now not much by some standards but I have been trying to get him on a bike for years, he started off with 2 miles a fortnight ago and has built it up.

I must add that up to two weeks ago the last time he rode a bike was the year of the coronation, he was 19 and is now 79.

To say he is enjoying it is an understatement, he keeps me updated after every ride.

How brilliant is that?
I was on a ride today And came across a chap who was 25 miles from home,on a old school road bike going to meet up with a local monthly bike club he was 76,limited movement in his right knee but full of smiles,out in the open and on the promise of real ale at the local

So today big brother turns up having rode 10 miles the last 2 off road, just to stop in for some rhubarb crumble and custard, then back on the bike with me alongside for the 10 miles back, to say I am impressed with this 79 year old is a total understatement.

Turns out on reflection the last time he road a bike he was 14, 65 years ago we had a king in those days.
