I rode 114 miles yesterday as part (inc. unintentional detours) of the Tour de Broads South sportive in Norfolk. My family came to cheer me at the finish line and my 11 year old daughter was particularly taken by the occasion, so much so that she badgered me all morning to ride with her today. The furthest she had ridden before today was about 6 miles on totally flat terrain, so I went out expecting something similar. However, she was so keen we rode for almost 11 miles and this included several quite steep (for her!) hills, every single one of which she rode up without getting off, even with only a single speed on her bike! I was proud of myself yesterday but much much prouder today that I had inspired my daughter to turn off the telly!

My daughter loves her Strava account so she can see how much progress she has made.
The more she gets into cycling, the more I'll be allowed to ride too.
Super proud especially when she signals and turns corners properly to leave the village and when she returns home

It's a nice feeling isn't it!
It is, especially as mum came too!
