Glad you still like it. When we replace our Micra a trip to the Dacia dealership is on our to-do list. Hoping to find a second hand one at a price we can afford. I'd love a new one but need a better job than I have now to afford one.

Just driven from Deal to Oberhausen and back for a couple of days work and was more than happy with the overall fuel consumption!

Cheap to buy....cheap to run. :-)

Just like me....
60 mpg isn't anything special for a modern diesel on a long run. Even with bikes attached we average over 65 from our Golf estate. Take the bikes off and it goes up to 70. Which is why I am so annoyed that the Govt looks set to force me to scrap it.

That's true. However, point being that considering the very significant cost difference between a Dacia and a Golf estate with the same level of extras it's a very pleasing result. :-)

Interesting that Flick mentions bikes, because I noticed that bikes on the roof of the Ford Fusion of Elderliness makes no recordable difference to MPG.

Last tank managed 47.1 MPG of petrol, for £700 purchase price, so my result is very pleasing.

...but on the road Passats are churning out almost as much particulates and NOx as some HGVs, if recent live environment testing is to be believed.

I've steered well clear of the Ford Fusion forum. The smell of ammonia, the clanking of loose falsers, and the frequent naps are annoying

Good economy, I brought a 2011Suzuki Swift at the start of the year and I'm seeing mid fifties mpg on long runs and mid forties on short trips round town plus thirty pounds tax a year, I'm pleased with it, my elderly Hyundai used to average thirty five forty mpg and cost a hundred and fifty two pound a year to tax.

£700 for a tank of petrol is a bit excessive.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Which model variant have you got? I looked at these last time we had to change, ended up with a Peugeot 5008 (can get a bike upright in the back, front wheel off using a Delta fork clamp) Needed big enough boot to get an assembled wheelchair in. Seem to remember the European version had much better styling compared to UK, which looked a bit dated I thought, but given the price and positive reviews think it's a serious contender next time.

No Foodie! Car owners forums are the refuge of the nerdy damned!

Or a place to find a cheap fix or solution for common problems. I'm not too bad with spanners but car forums have saved me an absolute fortune over taking it into a garage.
