I plan to head in a similar direction but getting on a ferry and heading for France. Missed my fix for the last 2 years. As soon as restrictions are gone and life has some semblance of normal I'm loading the bike cycling to Dover via NCN 1 (Or the bits of it that are rideable at least) camping overnight and spending a day wandering around Dover Castle.
Do it. Cycling in Normandy is fantastic. And not far to go for you. If I lived down south I would spend a LOT more time across the channel. The Normandy beaches are one of my dream trips. It's planned, I have period maps, I have everything I want to see in my head I just haven't done it yet. Now you've got me thinking!
indeed just to get back to "normal" club rides with cafes you can sit inside will be enough for me its to cold to stand outside a takeawayI'm looking forward to any ride that's not within three miles of home and has a cafe open. A pub would do...
You'll be up @Salty seadog 's end. I get up that way myself a fair bit too.As soon as restrictions are gone and life has some semblance of normal I'm loading the bike cycling to Dover via NCN 1 (Or the bits of it that are rideable at least) camping overnight and spending a day wandering around Dover Castle.
Including tunnels and the Big Tall Impronouncable Aqueduct?Chirk to Llangollen along the canal.
