I commute every day and am usually out on the clubrun (70-80 miles) on a Sunday. I also add a few miles on to the evening commute a couple of times a week sometimes, or in the summer it tends be 1 or 2 of the below:
chaingang/ race/ timetrial

Saturday's my day off. Cycling's brilliant.

I do 17 miles each way, and its only my second week, so cycling at the weekends is not in the plan until I get much fitter.

I was in a cycle club, and I really enjoyed it, but the first ride which was for an average of 16 mph people, was a baptism of fire ! I soon learned to never hang off the back, and never go at the front.

I thought I was fast and good but that was a shock ! but I went back for more and boy you soon get fitter and riding in a group is the best ever aspect of cycling, you feel so safe on the road, cause no motorist is gonna pick a fight when there are 20 of you, and you always have some one to cycle behind !

Riding 12 miles a day 5 days a week to and from work and riding 3 Sundays out of 4, either on my own or with the Cov Road Club. http://www.coventryroadclub.org.uk/
Riding between 100 and 120 miles a week. A typical Sunday would be between 50 and 60 miles, sometimes we do a bit more.

Commute five days a week, often with extended options for the early part of the week, and an evening time trial during the season. Ocasional TT on Sunday (or a 'cross race in the winter), sometimes a longer ride. Usually have one day off the bike per week, usually Saturday.

I do get tired at times, my trick is to do the commute at an embarrassingly slow speed a couple of times a week.

well Friday and did 'there and back' (9miles e/w) with no great shakes - slightly hairy cos I cross the A3 and an M25 junction.
You mean you 'jump' the M25 on the A3 flyover? RESPECT! That is a junction for men! Real men! May the sweat from your bottom be prized by future generations!

Not quite dellzeqq, I cross the M25 at Letherhead.

Although back in the 80's when I was in Surrey Roads CC there was a TT course that started 50M south of that junction. This was in the day before the M25 got completed.

Consensus seems to be most people do commute and also w/e rides (with a couple of phschos who do many miles) or if family allows they would if they could. Good on ya!
