My first commuter

My first commuter that i picked up FOC from my old man when he bought his new bike Had to do a fair bit to get it looking like this from it's neglected state, still some more degreasing to do etc. I fancy upgrading a few bits then as hopefully the frame is a good 'un, it's certainly fairly light. Fitted some Pilot sports as the original Conti's had light showing through the side walls!

90's Dawes Vision with Ali bonded frame
Deore XT selectors / levers
Deore LX Chainset
Some sort of Shimano M350 retro brakes
Michelin Pilot sport tyres

My favorite bit about the whole bike must be the so uncool it's cool 90's shellsuit colour scheme, at least nobody will steal it!!

That's really nice, love that paint job. I reckon a white Charge Spoon and white On-One Mary bars would set that off a treat.

Some decent kit on it. Have you got enough bar stem inside the steerer ? - looks mighty high - make sure there is plenty below the headset as well.

Pukka 80's paint job.... - what were we thinking. Looks in good condition though.
