It's a fine idea if you live in China or Holland, where there are squillions of bikes parked together, but personally I don't need it. But a fine idea, nonetheless.

Assuming you want brutal honesty, what’s with the voice over? He sounds like a simpleton talking to an 8 year old and then trying to be patronising. And as the others have said, I can’t think of a time this would have been useful in the last 30 years or so of cycling... nice grapics on the video though - perhaps a better angle would be a loud bell that doubles as a security alarm with the added benifit of th beep remote?

Can I be a pain and ask for a link to that? How effective do you find it? [SORRY, I wont further drag this off topic].

It is very loud, makes me jump if I set it off accidentally. It is part of my security setup which includes two Abus D locks and an Almax chain, cannot stop someone who really wants to steal it but they have to make alot of noise for a considerable time in full view of everyone at work, including me.

This is a link to the EBay listing.

Can be found cheaper on EBay if you buy direct from China but it means searching as the descriptions used are not the best.
I should say it is not waterproof, I solved that by using a small freezer bag and it does not come with batteries.

I think it's a terrible idea TBH but might be suitable for other uses if made smaller?

Try kickstarter, I ordered the Pebble watch last month off there, it's a great way to back good products and get them at a discount! Goofs pebble watch kickstarter for more info.

Try kickstarter,

Won't work if the OP is in the UK:

Am I eligible to start a Kickstarter project?

To be eligible to start a Kickstarter project, you need to satisfy the requirements of Amazon Payments:
—You are 18 years of age or older.
—You are a permanent US resident with a Social Security Number (or EIN).
—You have a US address, US bank account, and US state-issued ID (driver’s license).
—You have a major US credit or debit card.

Do you also have difficulty finding your bike?

Great idea. But have you got something to help me find where I put the remote?

He could, of course, move to the US and start up a kickstart project.
