Got it, fitted my Hope F20 pedals and its ready to go. Very pleased, looks like it will do the job, the carbon frame makes the bike feel so light, love it

The chain's too long by a link or even two is my guess. If you measure big to big on a MTB double and overlap by a link, then it often means on small to small that the rear mech sits back on itself like in the photo. I ended up with big to big and the powerlink, so no overlap. On the Cotic, with a 36/22 front and an 11-32 rear, I removed another link, so it was big to big, minus one, plus powerlink. In big to big the jockeys and cage are not quite horizontal, which means they still have room to bounce towards the stays. Some may say that you shouldn't be in big to big or little to little, but that's the whole point of a MTB double... you can choose the chainring for the terrain and minimise front shifts.

@Seadragonpisces, you need to shorten the chain. Top marks for the way the valves align with the tyre logo, but your radiator could do with a lick of paint.

Thanks all, I will get the stuff sorted, the chain etc, the bike is more sorted now than in the pics. Also been told I need a chainstay protector.

The radiator is not on the top of my list of things to work on, the conservatory is where my 3 bikes and 2 guinea pigs live :-)

I am sure I will really get to enjoy the bike soon, thanks for the comments.
