My first road tax comment

Should get one f those motorcycle VED disc holders, clip it to the offside front fork and put a joke disc in showing £0.00 or "Exempt"

I think I'm going to do just that, I'll have a look on ebay later.

It seems to be called "Vehicle Tax" on the DirectGov website and by the DVLA.
Less of a mouthful if you have to explain to the uninformed what happened to their Road Tax.

A sign in the post office window says :Buy your Car Tax here. Sounds just right that.

How about the retort: The VAT on my bike cost four times your road tax. Only reason I wanted an expensive bike really!
