I've had my 2CV for (counts on fingers) two days now. So far I've spent just over £150 on bits for it. ;) I miss the huge pile of spare parts I used to have which I'd accumulated from breaking old ones up ... it gets expensive when you have to buy new stuff!

I nearly bought a Dyane a few days ago but for once saw sense and didn't buy yet another vehcile requiring work.

Go on ... you know you want it.;) Dyanes are great, I've had a few of them and they're better than 2CVs, in my opinion.

Friends of mine have a shed Camionette. They used to have an H van until it got too much work.

That's why mine was sold. Although - having been used as a chicken shed on a French farm for ten years or so - it was probably too much work from day one.;)

You were never going to win that one - the ammonia in the poo would have carried on eating it away for a long time after you got it.

Happy memories.
I think I have only ever driven one hired vehicle in my life and it was a Citroen Dyane. We were travelling from the Kyle of Durness to Cape Wrath and got out to investigate some feature well off the road. There was a rumble behind and we turned to see the Dyane following driverless across the heather, stopping just as the door jumped off its hinges. Fortunately we were able to get the car back on the road, there aren't many people around to assist in January thereabouts.:biggrin:

Not any more. They've become "classic cars" now. I preferred them when they were old bangers, hence my purchase of one that's been painted with a yard brush.;)
