Here's a few pics of my new Rose trekking bike.
Hang on, that's an odd shaped water bottle, and what's that lump under the bottom bracket?
Ooo 'eck, it's got a motor - I must have pressed the wrong button on the website.
Too much of a faff to send it back, so I may as well keep it....

Never seen one before...it looks great. How is the ride?

Smooth and comfy - those big Marathon Supremes really soak up the bumps.

It's heavy, but most of the weight is low down, so the handling is reasonably nimble.

I've tried it unpowered, and it rides like a proper bicycle, or at least, a proper bicycle that also happens to be heavy.

How fast does it go Mr

The motor stops assisting at about 16mph as all legal ones do.

From then on, it's down to the rider.

There's no drag from the Bosch system after it cuts out, but you still have to shift the weight of the motor and battery.

I can do 20mph on the flat, a fitter, stronger rider might do better.

The bike has the 11-speed Alfine hub, which is known for its high gearing.

I haven't the strength to spin the higher gears, but a rider who could would achieve decent speed - for a trekking bike.
