Just out of interest, what have people got against reflectors?

Vanity. There's nothing wrong with them. Except they're not perceived to be cool. If
you are easily influenced by what others think, then take 'em off.

I just took my wheel reflectors off as they were a pain to clean .

Thank you it is the 2016 colour, the wheel reflectors the supplier said i ought to keep on as they are visable from traffic coming out of side roads, although i never rde in tbe dark i can see what he means even in daylight they r more visable side on than the black wheels.

Call me cynical but if someone had announced their marriage or engagement on here hoping for a good response i couldn't give them my blessings as i think most marriages end in tears, but a union between a man or woman and his/her bike is a true marriage!

Yes your right there bikes are always a happy marriage to male or female brides or grooms, and who ever heard of a bike arguing or not aggreeing with u ....lol

Valve caps are unfashionable but they protect the fragile valve. Lose the reflectors and the disc. Is that saddle at the right height? It looks low for that size of frame. Nice bike though, protect that glossy paint with Mr Sheen.

Mr sheen huh ok ill get some, i dont like the saddle right up high as some do its a great fit and the makers suggested the heel to the pedal when its down is the perfect heighth with the leg just near straight.

Thank you all for your replies i have a Trek but my other racers are all classic bikes like my Raleigh Routier, bsa tour of britain, Phillips, minstrel, Raleigh Rapide, and a few others, so this ones a treat for me having such a modern bike, i still enjoy the classics though with the gear levers on the down frame as they mostly are on my older bikes, oh yes and a Elswick but cant remember the others though.

They do reflect light well, when we were driving back from holiday in the dark I was really struggling to fathom what on earth the spinning lights in front of us were, it was a bike on a boot mounted rack with the wheels turning as the car drove along, very confusing.

reflectors are good against black wheels especially at night, the more visible you are the better.

Beautiful bike - I have the 2014 Synapse Tiagra - unfortunately its white - (look left!) and is a bugger to kept clean as it shows up every tiny piece of dirt - happy cycling

I was going to get white but the supplier said i may like to consider red as he has one 2016 model in so i went red...
