I have a 2012 Peloton which came with a Selle Italia X1 saddle. That was (for my behind anyway) an instrument of pure torture. I got the Spoon to put on that as I use them on my MTBs as well and know they suit. I didn't even bother sitting on the X1 on the new bike, I've simply taken it off, bagged it and stored it for when the new bike is sold.

The old Peloton will be in the classifieds as soon as the new tyres I ordered for it arrive.

Nice - is that a matt finish? Looks really smart
Yes, matt finish. I thought it was anodised at first, but I'm told it's matt paint. Wonder how easily it'll mark.....

Might be worth putting car wax on it before use, my m8s cube in matt finish is filthy.

Well, I committed the absolute sacrilege of adding a seatpack, pump and lights to it and rode it to work (with a rucksack on). Whether that's a fair test or not I'll reserve until I can ride it without luggage! Anyhoooooo, It's pretty quick. I thought I'd miss the triple, but in actual fact spent far more of the ride in the big ring, and didn't get down to the bottom of the gears at any point. Whether that means I subconsciously decided to MTFU or not can be a point for debate. My garmin decided not to power up on the way, but I charged it at work and got two Strava PBs on the way home, plus several 2nds and 3rds.

My last Peloton was a 58. This one's a 56. I decided on test ride that I preferred the more compact feel, having been more comfortable on the hoods on the 56. I may tweak saddle position and experiment with stems, but so far it feels faster handling and snappier than the old one.

Cubist how tall are you? I'm looking at one of these and think a smaller size would suit me better.
I'm 5'10" or so, but used to be taller (I crushed a couple of vertebtrae and have lost height) I have a standover of about 33-34 inches, in stockinged feet, and have always found myself between sizes.
