Well, I committed the absolute sacrilege of adding a seatpack, pump and lights to it and rode it to work (with a rucksack on). Whether that's a fair test or not I'll reserve until I can ride it without luggage! Anyhoooooo, It's pretty quick. I thought I'd miss the triple, but in actual fact spent far more of the ride in the big ring, and didn't get down to the bottom of the gears at any point. Whether that means I subconsciously decided to MTFU or not can be a point for debate. My garmin decided not to power up on the way, but I charged it at work and got two Strava PBs on the way home, plus several 2nds and 3rds.
My last Peloton was a 58. This one's a 56. I decided on test ride that I preferred the more compact feel, having been more comfortable on the hoods on the 56. I may tweak saddle position and experiment with stems, but so far it feels faster handling and snappier than the old one.
