I saw my GP this morning to discuss my change in peeing habits. My situation is complicated by being diabetic and on Mounjaro as well as a suite of drugs for blood pressure, cholesterol as well as fungal issue with my toe.

The GP was able to see my extremely low PSA scores 0.33 ug/L & 0.27 ug/L and listened to my peeing story. He diagnosed that I have an innocent enlarged prostate. He is changing my dose of Amlopidene and giving me another tablet to help with the prostate. I should notice a difference in two weeks and need to keep an eye on my BP.

As I have regular blood tests I shall continue to ask for my PSA to be included.

Heard from specialist this morning and my lump is not cancerous thank goodness.
They are saying it's caused by an infection/inflammation in my prostate which hopefully a 4 week course of antibiotics will sort out and then an MRI scan to confirm it has gone.

So a great result but boy it has been hell for the last couple of weeks with worry

The prostate is associated with walnuts because the prostate gland is naturally about the size of a walnut, and research suggests walnuts may help protect against prostate cancer due to their rich content of omega-3s, antioxidants, polyphenols, and Vitamin E, which can inhibit tumor growth, lower inflammation, and reduce IGF-1 levels linked to cancer risk, as shown in animal studies.

Just had my prostate removed yesterday but having a bit of a rough time today. They got me up for my walk and I nearly passed out, blood pressure dipped, nausea, dizzy and cold sweat. They said this happens sometimes and just wait until I'm ok to walk so I may be in for another night. They didn't seem concerned but I am.

Good news.

My sister is still awaiting the results of her breast cancer surgery so they can start chemo/radiotherapy - it's been over seven weeks since surgery.

Glad you've got results quickly.

Waiting for results, especially if they could be dire, is, I find, utterly depressing. I get really down and negative.

My bone marrow biopsy results take 3-5 weeks for the result and the wait is torture.

I do understand the wait though. The tech' used is cutting edge, expensive so only available in very select NHS locations, the tests take an age to perform as the results are nth degree and I guess the upshot of all this is a fair sized queue.

All the best for your sister.
