Had another MRI scan 10 days ago and got a phone call from the urology department on Thursday afternoon saying a face to face appointment today so been worried last couple of days.

Meeting was a quick review of my case with the MRI scan still showing a small lump on my prostate but not bigger than last time . I was given three options

1. Monitor via PSA test every 3 months
2. Have another Biopsy but like before it's such a small area and in a position on my prostate that the probes might not get the target area.
3. Have a different kind of probe that works of the MRI images but again no more accurate than a normal probe .

So opted for continued PSA result monitoring and MRI scans if it goes up significantly.

Next PSA test is Tuesday so I will be back on the bike hopefully Wednesday.

A bit annoyed about having the 2 days off worry and uncertainty as all that was discussed could have been said on a phone call but hey ho

Have you considered having the new prostate specific epigenetics (PSE) test done privately? Details here, https://www.94percent.com/

I have a PSA of 5.8, had an MRI and was told they wanted to biopsy an area of the prostate. Have to admit, the thought of it made me feel ill. My PSE result was negative so I'm holding off from having the biopsy done - for now. If my PSA trends upwards I will go for it.
