Police are hunting for the driver of a black Vauxhall Corsa after a cyclist was killed following a collision with two cars near Wetherby.
A 38-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place on the B1224 York Road yesterday (October 17) at around 5.20pm.
He was riding from Bickerton towards Wetherby with a grey Vauxhall Astra and a black Ford Fiesta travelling behind him, when all three vehicles were overtaken by a black Corsa around 120metres from Spring Lane.

The road was closed while officers combed the scene, before it was reopened today at around 12.40am.
This is my route into York and it can be a bit hairy, this is such a sad story. My thoughts go to his family.
