Bloody hell that is an amazing spec on that last link you provided, but I wouldn't get up the hills round here on the 52/39 and a 25 cassette.

That stopped me quicker than the extra cash needed tbh. Would have been a tricky one otherwise, but glad with what I spent and now have.

Wow that Athena one is nice;must stop looking at new bikes as I can't really afford another just yet:sad::cry:and I don't really need another yet either:rolleyes:;still nearly contacted a bod about a second-hand but barely used Orbea Orca frame though(even worked out I could have gotten it built with Ultegra and my Zondas for under £1,300:becool:).
The good thing at the moment is I'm torn between different bikes at the moment so probably couldn't make a decision yet anyway:stop:.

No apologies for dragging this up but I wondered how it was going ten months on @bpsmith
Absolutely amazingly. Bike is superb and loving every minute of it. Doing a charity ride over 3 days on Friday and have to go back to the Defy, as don't want to damage the Bianchi in the van home with 55 other bikes. Gutted, but needs must.

Bianchi really was worth the spend. Are you interested in getting one then?

Fixed wheel fanatic.

Yes, my geared road bike is kaput (crack in the forks) and while I could just buy new forks but where's the fun in that.
I generally ride fixed but if I head into the mountains around here I need some gears! I've been thinking about a few different bikes. My old bike is a Trek and as good as it's been I don't want another. I don't see many Bianchis about, my best fixed is a bianchi and it gets loads of positive comments off people.

How is the sempre on long rides? I fancied the Infinito but there's no way I can afford it.

I always did love the Bianchi's and a fixie is on my future n+1 list.

The Sempre Pro is at home racing or touring tbh. Reviews always mention both aspects as being suitable. It is certainly a lot more aggressive than my Defy, but I have it set up that way too, although I have never raced btw.

I tend to do a lot of 50 mile plus rides. Recently doing 70 ole rides in prep for the Velothon Cardiff and my charity ride this week www.ridetothepalace.co.uk. Really comfy throughout tbh, despite having a Fizik Arione saddle with zero give in it. Only once did I suffer, but was down to over inflating the tyres as a fact finding ride. Lol.

I was tempted tbh, but don't have the annual leave or time to do so. Will be having a few beers at the game too, which doesn't help.
