Yes, my geared road bike is kaput (crack in the forks) and while I could just buy new forks but where's the fun in that.
I generally ride fixed but if I head into the mountains around here I need some gears! I've been thinking about a few different bikes. My old bike is a Trek and as good as it's been I don't want another. I don't see many Bianchis about, my best fixed is a bianchi and it gets loads of positive comments off people.
How is the sempre on long rides? I fancied the Infinito but there's no way I can afford it.
I always did love the Bianchi's and a fixie is on my future n+1 list.
The Sempre Pro is at home racing or touring tbh. Reviews always mention both aspects as being suitable. It is certainly a lot more aggressive than my Defy, but I have it set up that way too, although I have never raced btw.
I tend to do a lot of 50 mile plus rides. Recently doing 70 ole rides in prep for the Velothon Cardiff and my charity ride this week
www.ridetothepalace.co.uk. Really comfy throughout tbh, despite having a Fizik Arione saddle with zero give in it. Only once did I suffer, but was down to over inflating the tyres as a fact finding ride. Lol.
