Name one product that turned you into a total snob, where you can never go back to the cheap stuff. Can be cycling or non cycling related.

Amaretto Disaronno, which I never strayed from in over 25 years.

Until last year, in Verona, when I was in Aldi and took a punt on a bottle of their version at €4.

I didn't try it until I got back home and my word it was good. Next time, I'm buying three bottles.

Butter. Pay for good butter, not yellow lube.
And bread, buy good bread, and nothing that has been anywhere near Chorleywood.

There are many, many more, but those two will do.

Castelli bibs.

The Progetto(?) pad is amazing, Kiss pad isn't bad either, at least for me.

Tried all sorts of cheaper alternatives '17-'20 from PlanetX, Funkier etc because I was shocked at Castelli prices.

Bought a pair in sales ~£60 from Merlin.

Game changer.

Tried Assos the high end ones. They are rubbish. Castelli are fine but I tried Merlin’s own brand on sale cheap and were better. Nice pad. It’s not always the posh brands which are better.
