I am not really bothered what they call the organisation, I just want it to do it's job, as efficiently and effectively as possible, preferably, without employing (in highly paid jobs) "friends" of which ever Government happens to be in power. ;)

Fair point though. Each change of name is pointless and costs money. If i were a government hatchet man ( and it must surely be any day now until I get the call) then whoever comes up with these name changes would be identified as someone with nothing productive to do and their neck would be on the chopping block.

Can't be National Highways if it only covers England. And then not all roads in England.
