I would of definitely slowed and pulled over as they were clearly a***holes and I'd rather have them pass me when I know they are going to rather than they get impatient and try and force their way past.

As for swearing at them and the offensive gesture I would be very mindful of a 2 v 1 situation where they have a ton of metal around them and gawd only knows what in the car to use against you.

I've learned very early on that having right of way on my bike is easily overridden by size of vehicle and idiocy of driver!!!!

Just another nobber. It's a residential street.

It's hard not to get riled. I have a similar style 1 way road near my work. 20 mph max. Still get impatient numpties on it.

So, someone deliberitely drove into the back of you after you wouldn't move out of the way after someone beeped at you?

Or was it something else?
Got forced out of the way by someone overtaking who no doubt perceived I was holding them up

So, not the same then.
Same enough for me to realise on a bike you lose every time, your force field of 'devil may care' will protect you though
