I'd want at least double if not triple that to drive the great unwashed around in a bus, especially Leeds unless the taxi drivers have improved a thousandfold since I was at uni there about 20 years ago
It's historically been a unionised, typically male workforce. That means proper payments for unpleasant working conditions and unsocial hours. Compare and contrast carers and school meals providers - historically female occupations. If memory serves there have been a fair few successful equal pay claims recently.
