Need help selecting new crank?

Hi all.

I have a carrera specialised mountain bike.
But the pedal arm has rounded and i need a new inner crank with the bearings in etc.
Does anyone know what make n model i need?
Will it be cheaper just buying a whole new crank with pedal arms?
Can someone link me please?

Hard to know without photos. My guess is that you have a standard square taper crank set. When you say the pedal arm has rounded - what do you actually mean? (Left crank or right? Do you mean the thread is stripped where the pedal fits the arm?)
Why do you say you need a new inner crank? (Correctly called a bottom bracket) Most likely the bottom bracket is a cartridge type so if there is play in it it needs a complete new cartridge. If you have the correct tools this is a fairly quick and easy job.
If it is the right side crank arm that is damaged it is probably best to get a complete new crankset - but if the chain rings are not too worn and you buy a replacement with the same bolt spacing, keep the chain rings as spares.

I think your terminology might be a bit 'out' - it sounds like you mean bottom bracket, not cranks - and carrera and specialized are two different brands.

It is the left side bottom end that is rounded off.
I need a new bottom end, can someone please tell me which one i need?

Mate - as I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure anyone really knows what you're referring to. Maybe post a pic or something.

Without a better description or photo it isn't possible to give you any reliable advice.....

Ok sorry for the confussion, im a tad hungover here.
It is the inner bit of the crack where the pedal arms attach too.
I need this bit but i dont know what size etc i need?
I hope i have explained it better if not i will upload a picture.

You might need to use a mirror to get a decent close-up photo

If it is the bottom bracket you need then the size will be written on the old one .
