Never had a pet in 76 years BUT thats about to change big style.

Due to age/health my daughter and family are moving in to my house.
They have 3 dogs and a cat.
Main dog is a lovely dog/bitch....a golden lab**.
2 small fluffy terrier types.
Cat is, well, just a cat of some sort.
**lab is lovely. Used to be too lively for me but is 12 years old now and (fortunately) slowing down.
Life is going to get interesting.

Mrs Slick and I went to buy a house a couple of years back from an old boy who had not long lost his wife. When he heard us chat about holiday lettings and the like, he asked through his lawyer if we would consider renting it back to him. I wasn't keen as I knew Mrs Slick would end up adopting him but did agree in the end. Unbelievably, we were gazumped by someone else who offered slightly less than us but who gave the owner 12 months rent free to sort himself out. I always felt we got a lucky escape but I also reckoned the old boy never knew what he missed out on with Mrs Slick who I know would have looked after him like her own.

Yes. It will be a total mind set.
I am taking the lab for a walk on Monday (on a tight lead).....she does like me so it should be fine.
