I received an exciting email this afternoon, my new Bianchi is due to leave the factory on Monday and should be ready to collect later in the week ^_^^_^^_^

As luck would have it I booked Thursday and Friday off this morning to use up a couple of days I was owed from earlier in the year. This should make it nice and easy to pop in to Elmy Cycles for a bike fit and to take it away :okay: I'm pretty excited to see what it looks like with the additions I've made

Full spec as collected will be:

57cm Oltre XR3 disc, Ultegra R8000
Deda SuperZero 100mm stem
Deda SuperZero carbon aero bars
Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL UST Disc wheels
Hope RX4-SH calipers and 160mm road spec rotors (Orange)
Hope jockey wheels, bar end plugs, headset spacers, steerer cap (all Orange)
Bianchi carbon bottle cages (with Orange bolts)

Awesome! Bike itself and the fact that it’s nearly sorted.

Very nearly got an XR3 recently, but only stopped as already have an aero steed and wanted a climber. Specialissima was a touch over budget wise would have been the one.

Cheers, I've got a roubaix at the moment so this should fit in well :okay: One day I may treat myself to a Specialissima but I'd have to a) earn more and b) lose a bit more weight to justify it

I have to say, my Helium SL is very different to my Noah SL, so I am glad that I went the way I did.

You’ll be chuffed with the XR3 after riding the Roubaix. All out speed machine.

I can shift on my Helium, but the Noah is another level. Then it’s the reverse on the climbs.

Not yet, still waiting to hear when it's going to be ready before I go in to get it set up and take it away. Shouldn't be long now, I understand it left the factory on Monday but they drive them all the way from Northern Italy so it's not super rapid  I'm rather hoping to get some more news tomorrow :okay: I think Elmys are both busy and short a mechanic at the moment so im trying not to bug them too much but I'm a little excited so it's a struggle

I gave in and called earlier, they were expecting it to arrive today. Since 5.30 has been and gone with no phonecall I can only assume it didn't  Maybe tomorrow...

I received an email at 10.37pm this evening saying the bike did in fact arrive today ^_^ It's still boxed up but they'll be getting to work on it over the next few days and letting me know early next week when it's going to be ready to collect :becool: I might have to pop in tomorrow and peak in the box

I couldn't resist... In fact on arrival I was shown a closed box in the corner and positively encouraged to tear it open

Despite overwhelming temptating I didn't take it out of the box in the middle of the shop, there's not a great deal of space in there and there were a lot of other customers milling around  I'm expecting them to contact me early next week when they've got it ready for fitting and collection ^_^ I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's been brightened up a bit by the anodised orange bits
