rain cut a 30 miler sort to just over 18 
oh well managed what i did at over 16 MPH average and thats with cautious descending and crap gear changing due to inexperience with STI shifter
also, now 10th overall on my favourite strava segment 
got home and spent a good hour or so drying her off with a towel (with both wheels dropped out and giving her a good mickeling and then a complete flick through the gears a few times to make sure they are all still good and to lube the whole lot up
sure it's nothing by @ianrauk standards!
