I think the time may have come to increase my N+1
My current bike is a PX carbon which i've had for a few years. It's a mix of Dura Ace 7800 and Ultegra. I do love this bike but it's starting to play up now and the constant worry of trashing the carbon frame (i've had 2 lucky crashes/escapes) make me think I should go back to aluminium.
It looks like several components may need (wheels/derailers/shifter/chain/cassette) replacement and tbh the cost is almost half of what a new Canyon would cost me. Plus is think i may have also damaged the carbon steerer on my forks
I'm trying to workout if I would notice too much difference moving over to the Canyon Ultimate AL with Athena 11. Total weight would be 7.35kg.
How much of a PITA is 11 speed systems to keep indexed and running trouble free?
Is shifting on Athena from the small ring to the big ring easier or harder than Shimano??
